Proficiency Checks

This training promotes the employee’s competence in certain processes and airfield procedures. Having completed the assessment, the employee should demonstrate the level of skill that is necessary for their duties, tasks, and responsibilities in accordance with EC Regulation No 139/2014.

Training content

General assessment of theoretical knowledge on binding procedures and duties.
Skill assessment: compliance with binding procedures when performing certain duties and activities.
Assessment in handling various non-standard situations.

Term of validity

Having completed the training, participants receive a certificate, which is valid for 2 years.
When do I have the recurrent training?

Initial assessment must take place within 1 year after the initial training.
Recurrent assessment is available within the last 3 calendar months before the certification expires (the new period begins at the end of the initial period).

Arnis Liepiņš

A certified aircraft de-icing/anti-icing instructor, Arnis worked to implement the ACDM (airport collaborative decision-making) project at Riga Airport.

He develops and teaches training programmes covering binding procedures at the airfield, airfield maintenance and traffic management processes. He conducts professional competence tests for traffic management processes. Arnis has professional knowledge in the implementation of the safety management system (SMS), airfield processes and emergency management gained at Airport Council International (ACI) training centres.

As a Certified Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) instructor (Category 6), Marika develops and teaches training programmes covering binding procedures at the airfield, airfield maintenance, traffic management, and aircraft handling processes. She conducts professional competence tests for aircraft handling processes.

Marika has professional knowledge in the implementation of the safety management system (SMS), airfield processes, emergency management and aircraft handling gained at Airport Council International (ACI) and Ground Handling Service Provider (GHSP) training centres.
