Training of aviation security personnel implementing screening

For personnel implementing screening, in accordance with European Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1998, subsections 11.2.3.1 (without using X-ray equipment), 11.2.3.4 and 11.2.3.5.

Training objective: train and prepare aviation security screeners to implement security controls unsupervised:

  • Security screening of persons and items carried with them (without using X-ray equipment),
  • Vehicle examinations,
  • Access control, surveillance and patrols.

Training prerequisites:

  • The participant must have a pre-employment check, according to European Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1998, article 11.1.5.
  • The participant must be fluent in the language in which training is held.

Examples of various cases and their analysis are used during the training.
The content of the training is adapted to the security processes of the specific airport if possible.
Classroom training is provided.

FAQ

  • After successfully completing the training, participants receive a certificate, which is valid for 3 years. If recurrent training is carried out in the 3-month period before the expiration of the previous certification, then the validity period of the next recurrent training can be calculated as 3 years from the date of the previous certification.
  • Participants can apply for recurrent training during the last 3 calendar months prior to the end of the training period. If the employee has been absent for at least 6 months – recurrent training shall be conducted.
