Airport supplies

The training is intended for:

  • Staff authorised to have access to airport supplies
  • Staff implementing security controls of airport supplies other than screening:
    – employees of companies/divisions that are known suppliers of airport supplies
    – employees of airport operators who are in charge of applying security control to deliveries intended for their airport

Purpose of the training. The training is aimed at staff implementing security controls in respect of airport supplies other than screening who have authorised access to airport supplies, in accordance with points 11.2.3.10 and 11.2.7 of EC Regulation No 2015/1998.

Training prerequisites:

  • The participants have passed the background check.
  • The participants are fluent in the language of instruction.

The curriculum of the training includes restricted-access information.
The training takes place online via the Zoom platform. To identify the participants, the training provider may ask them to present a personal ID via private communication channels.

Training content

During the training, participants will gain knowledge of the secure supply chain for airport supplies, security control requirements, the role of a known supplier of airport supplies, as well as the reporting procedure and course of action in the event of various security incidents.
Companies that are known suppliers of airport supplies at Riga Airport are familiarised with the regulations and procedures binding on Riga Airport in the area of airport supplies.
The training curriculum includes restricted-access information.
